South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is hiring a Sterilising Services Manager to lead the Sterilising Services Department (SSD) at The Sutherland Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the department's overall operations, budget, and human resources. You will develop a culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, and staff development, ensuring the department functions in accordance with National and Quality Standards.
What You'll Do
- Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and human resource responsibilities of the Sterilising Services Department.
- Develop a departmental culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and key employee retention and development.
- Ensure the department functions in accordance with National Standards and Quality Standards.
- Resource and guide Sterilisation practices to provide a high quality service to clinical areas of The Sutherland Hospital.
- Lead and provide Sterilisation Support to other clinics, units, and areas within the hospital.
- Provide recommendations during planning for new or upgraded sterilisation practices to ensure appropriate equipment and resources are provided.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated knowledge of Sterilizing Services Department processes and the ability to manage work priorities and adjust workflow.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and its staff.
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic economics, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various employment practices and employee relations.
- Excellent organisational management skills.
