What You’ll Do
- Research and publish SEO-focused content designed to attract and educate new audiences in the energy sector
- Monitor regulatory updates, press releases, and competitor activity to identify emerging topics
- Use AI tools and keyword analysis to develop news articles, roundups, and enriched content
- Write and edit copy that adheres to AP Style, brand voice, and editorial integrity
- Develop relationships with industry experts and contributors to source insights and commentary
- Collaborate on editorial planning, pitch story ideas, and support audience development goals
- Optimize content with targeted headlines, meta descriptions, and internal links
- Source and integrate visuals such as charts, images, and infographics to enhance storytelling
- Maintain compliance with copyright, attribution, and editorial standards
- Assist in proofreading, formatting, and print production coordination as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or English
- 1–3 years of experience writing and editing for a defined audience
- Familiarity with SEO principles, analytics, AI tools, and social media platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Understanding of journalistic ethics and best practices
- Knowledge of AP Style
Preferred Experience
- Prior work in B2B publishing
- Experience with Photoshop or Canva

Compensation
Base salary ranges from $45,000 to $50,000 per year, adjusted based on location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Additional equity or bonuses are not included in this role.
Work Environment
