Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and long-term maintenance of next-generation perception systems, guiding them from research concepts to reliable, scalable production deployments.
- Promote and apply software engineering best practices to deliver efficient, well-tested, and maintainable C++ code optimized for edge and robotics computing environments.
- Design and refine high-performance, real-time perception pipelines, establishing technical direction for object detection, tracking, and advanced sensor fusion methods.
- Guide the evaluation, customization, and integration of leading-edge machine learning and computer vision models, including creating new proprietary models for large-scale, domain-specific challenges.
- Provide technical leadership in complex and uncertain problem spaces, shaping the technical roadmap while balancing fast-paced research with product-grade scalability and reliability.
- Serve as a key technical partner to Product teams and help align engineering standards across multiple technical groups.
- Build and enhance core shared systems, tools, and architectural frameworks that enable pilot projects to evolve into scalable, production-critical capabilities.
