Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable AI platform services using Python and microservices-based design
- Manage end-to-end DevOps and MLOps processes, including continuous integration, deployment, model versioning, and rollback mechanisms
- Develop and support Kubernetes-based infrastructure tailored for AI and machine learning workloads
- Implement and maintain data pipelines, dataset version control, and automated labeling systems for training models
- Enable full lifecycle management of machine learning workflows from data input through monitoring in production
- Collaborate with machine learning scientists, product teams, and platform engineers to align technical solutions with business goals
- Promote best practices in software architecture, system reliability, security, and monitoring capabilities
- Lead technical decision-making, conduct design reviews, and provide mentorship to engineering team members
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in backend or platform engineering roles
- High level of proficiency in Python or comparable backend programming languages
- Proven track record developing microservices and distributed systems
- Production-level experience managing Kubernetes environments
- Strong grasp of DevOps and MLOps methodologies and tools
- Experience handling data workflows for machine learning, including datasets, labeling, and pipeline development
- Cloud platform experience with Azure, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly adopt Azure technologies
- Ability to operate strategically at the system architecture level while also contributing hands-on code
Nice to Have
- Prior experience designing and building internal AI or ML platforms
- Knowledge of model serving frameworks and techniques for optimizing inference performance
- Exposure to automated labeling, weak supervision, or human-in-the-loop data systems
- Background working in enterprise or B2B SaaS environments
