Cision is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to take a leadership role within our technical team. You will have an AI-first approach to software development, collaborating closely with product, design, technology, and data science teams to build new application components and improve existing ones. This position involves owning and spearheading the evolution of a significant codebase.
What You'll Do
- Develop and own solutions that add value across systems while balancing technical debt.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to align on optimal solutions that meet product goals.
- Lead in fostering a Test First mentality and emphasize quality at the code level.
- Help translate complex product requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.
- Stay informed about technology trends and product roadmaps, providing strategic guidance to the development team.
- Actively support cross-functional business processes, facilitating collaboration and communication.
- Work with other senior-level stakeholders to ensure adherence to best practices, cross-team synergy, and consistency in processes.
- Mentor and support mid-level and junior engineers as they progress in their technical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, building strong relationships based on mutual respect and shared goals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer related subject area or related business field and eight (8) or more year’s experience in Information Technology and solution delivery, or equivalent combination of education and experience in similar fields.
- Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Experience with C#.
- Experience with .NET 8+.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with Unit Testing.
- Experience with RESTful web services.
- Experience with Messaging & queuing.
- Experience with a Front-end framework such as React.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with Microservice Data Architecture.
- Experience with Microfrontend & Atomic Design.
