About the Role
This position leads the design and implementation of identity solutions that ensure secure, reliable, and seamless access for users and systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, architectural leadership, and deep technical execution in identity protocols and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of scalable identity platforms that support millions of users
- Design systems for authentication, authorization, and identity verification
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce strong access controls
- Drive adoption of modern identity standards and protocols
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence across teams
- Identify and resolve systemic risks in identity workflows
- Work closely with product teams to integrate identity features
- Evaluate and implement third-party identity providers when needed
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and security standards
- Own end-to-end architecture for critical identity services
- Improve reliability and performance of identity-related APIs
- Lead incident response and post-mortems for identity outages
- Contribute to long-term technical strategy for access management
- Optimize user experience in authentication flows without compromising security
- Support global scalability of identity systems across regions
- Drive automation in identity provisioning and deprovisioning
- Evaluate emerging threats to identity infrastructure
- Promote reuse and standardization of identity components
- Work with data teams to enable secure access to user information
- Ensure systems are observable and debuggable in production
- Balance innovation with operational rigor in high-impact areas
- Collaborate on cross-team initiatives involving user trust
- Define metrics for identity system health and success
- Lead technical discovery for new identity-related projects
- Foster a culture of security and accountability in engineering

- Experience with single sign-on (SSO) implementations
- Background in fraud detection or risk-based authentication
- Worked on identity systems in financial or regulated industries

- Experience with biometric or passwordless authentication
