Role Overview
Join a growing finance team as a Staff Accountant, where you'll take ownership of core accounting functions in a fast-moving, expanding organization. You'll play a central role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across key areas including month-end close, revenue accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and audit coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead critical close tasks such as bank reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation and financial schedules
- Enhance the speed and reliability of the financial close through improved controls and standardized practices
- Manage or support accounts receivable operations, including billing, cash posting, collections, and customer account reconciliations
- Ensure end-to-end order-to-cash processes are accurately reflected in the general ledger under U.S. GAAP
- Apply ASC 606 standards to revenue recognition, including contract analysis, deferred revenue tracking, and journal entry support
- Oversee accounts payable functions, vendor relationships, and timely invoice processing
- Record and reconcile accruals, prepaids, and period-specific expenses to ensure proper financial reporting
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine procurement, approval workflows, and vendor management
- Support intercompany accounting and consolidation activities across global entities
- Address emerging accounting needs tied to new business models, systems, or transactions
- Document accounting policies, processes, and control frameworks clearly and consistently
- Contribute to financial planning efforts, including forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis
- Work with leadership to monitor financial metrics and deliver insights on business performance
- Lead portions of the audit cycle, including preparing PBC lists, compiling evidence, and responding to auditor inquiries
- Strengthen audit readiness by improving documentation quality and reconciliation accuracy
- Utilize AI-powered tools to automate repetitive accounting tasks and workpaper generation
- Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions to improve precision and efficiency
- Design and refine templates, checklists, and standardized procedures across finance operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Active CPA or equivalent certification
- Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to both public accounting and corporate finance
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 606 for revenue recognition
- Hands-on experience with general ledger management and active participation in month-end and year-end closes
- Proven track record supporting external audits and meeting documentation requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace for financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organizational and analytical abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with solid project management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Ramp, Ordway, Salesforce, Anrok, QuickBooks, HiBob, Remote.com, or JPMorgan Access
- Experience supporting financial audits, including PBC preparation, walkthroughs, and testing support
- Background in B2B SaaS, subscription-based billing, or revenue operations
