Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with tax planning strategies for high-net-worth business owners and related entities
- Research tax issues and provide recommendations to leadership
- Review client documentation for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and propose corrections
- Prepare workpapers and schedules to support the review process
- Meet with clients to gather information, present findings, and deliver completed returns
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with firm policies
- Monitor filing deadlines and ensure timely submission of returns
- Respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate across tax, audit, and accounting teams to support client needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1–3 years of tax preparation experience, ideally in public accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass a CJIS background check
Nice to Have
- Master’s and CPA eligibility
- Experience with UltraTax, QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), and AdvanceFlow
