GNC Holdings LLC is hiring a Staff Accountant II

The Staff Accountant II plays a central role in maintaining financial integrity by managing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and delivering accurate financial reporting. This position ensures monthly trial balance accuracy and supports franchisees with timely financial data analysis and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and verify journal entries for assigned accounts, ensuring compliance and precision in general ledger updates
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of designated accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Generate financial reports and analyze trends to support franchisee understanding and decision-making
  • Collaborate with the Loss Prevention team to coordinate physical inventory scheduling
  • Support the development and enhancement of the GNFS program
  • Assist in training new team members and interns on financial processes
  • Contribute to financial preparations for new store openings and closures
  • Engage in cross-departmental collaboration to streamline operations and support organizational goals
  • Advocate for GNFS services during onboarding of new franchise owners
  • Participate in special projects and process improvements across the finance group

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and web-based applications is essential. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and within teams under tight deadlines.

A background in general accounting, particularly within a multi-unit or franchise environment, is preferred. The role demands attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. This position operates in a hybrid model with required in-office presence in Pittsburgh, PA.
