Simular is hiring a People & Operations Intern

About the Role

As a People & Operations Intern, you’ll play a central role in shaping the internal engine of an evolving AI-first organization. Your work will span talent acquisition, employee onboarding, office coordination, and event participation—both within the company and at external tech gatherings. This is a full-time role with a strong emphasis on personal initiative, operational clarity, and real-world engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Support end-to-end hiring: from posting roles and reviewing applications to scheduling interviews and maintaining candidate communication.
  • Lead onboarding logistics for new team members, including equipment setup, account provisioning, and orientation materials.
  • Represent the company at university career fairs, hackathons, and community tech events to connect with future talent and collaborators.
  • Help plan and run internal team gatherings, offsites, and culture-building activities.
  • Assist in securing and managing office environments, ensuring spaces support productivity and collaboration.
  • Work on IT compliance tasks such as device tracking, access permissions, and adherence to security protocols.
  • Partner with vendors for services like insurance, IT support, and facilities management.
  • Support multi-jurisdictional compliance efforts, including employment contracts and visa documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and streamline administrative workflows.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and help design automated solutions using no-code tools, scripts, or AI platforms.
  • Build and manage internal systems such as onboarding checklists, compliance alerts, and recruitment tracking.
  • Engage daily with large language models and AI agents, deepening your understanding of how intelligent tools reshape operations.
  • Test emerging AI technologies, evaluate their effectiveness, and document practical use cases for the team.

Who You Are

  • Highly organized, with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Clear and professional in written and verbal communication.
  • Self-driven—you notice gaps and take action without waiting for direction.
  • Intrigued by AI not just as a user, but as a builder and thinker focused on transforming workflows.
  • Comfortable navigating uncertainty and solving problems independently.
  • Enthusiastic about in-person interactions and energized by hosting and attending events.
  • Committed to creating a positive, well-run workplace that supports both people and performance.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous internship experience in human resources, people operations, or within a startup environment.
  • Background in organizing student groups, clubs, or campus events.

Tools You’ll Use

AI applications, no-code automation platforms, scripting tools, large language models (LLMs), and AI agent systems.

Work Environment

This is a locally based role, open to candidates in specified cities, with location priority assigned in the order listed. The work mode emphasizes in-person presence, reflecting our belief in face-to-face connection as a foundation for culture and collaboration.

Our Culture

We’re building the way our company functions from the inside out. We value curiosity, direct action, and continuous learning—especially around how AI can improve how we work. We believe in creating a workplace that’s not only efficient but also human-centered, inclusive, and energizing.

About company
Simular

Simular AI delivers open-source, intelligent AI agents powered by leading research to automate computer tasks, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity. The company focuses on making AI agents that operate across browsers, computers, and smartphones with super-human performance in key benchmarks.

Founded on the belief that humans should not be bound to computers, Simular develops AI that works like a human—clicking, typing, and operating the GUI—while also using APIs, terminals, and writing code. Their agents run on secure, private cloud desktops, enabling 24/7 operation with transparency and user control.

Simular emphasizes open research and public development, consistently outperforming industry giants in benchmarks like OSWorld, WebVoyager, and AndroidWorld. Their work aims to make advanced AI agents immediately usable by anyone, not locked into closed platforms.
