Adyen is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records across multiple entities. You'll own key components of the month-end close process, prepare detailed reconciliations, and provide financial reporting that supports operational decision-making.

What You'll Do

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
Support the full month-end close cycle.
Prepare and post journal entries for expense accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, non-integrated revenue, leases, and reclasses.
Complete detailed account reconciliations and investigate any variances.
Prepare balance sheet working papers and reconciliations for multiple entities.
Review support, code, and reconcile credit card transactions.
Contribute to internal reporting packages and ad hoc reports for the Financial Controller and operational teams.
Maintain and document accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and financial integrity.
Assist in developing and implementing new processes or system integrations to improve department efficiency.
Collaborate effectively with team members in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Collaborative team player who thrives in both in-person and remote work environments.
Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.

Nice to Have

Experience leveraging AI tools and functionality to enhance workflow efficiency, analysis, and reporting accuracy.

Work Mode

This role is designated as local-country remote, but you must be located in the NY Tri-state area.
