We are looking for a Staff Accountant to manage key financial processes within our finance department. This role plays a central part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by accurately recording and posting financial data
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and generate management reports for internal review
- Analyze financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to identify trends and variances
- Manage bank transactions, payment processing, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and file tax returns with international tax authorities, including IRS, HMRC, and CRA
- Process customer invoices, vendor bills, and employee expense claims
- Collaborate with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to improve accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in accounting or financial reporting
- Professional certification from ACCA, CIMA, or ICMA is required
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables for data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail
