Renesas Electronics is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead test engineering initiatives from our Hukou location. In this role, you will define test strategy, drive DfT implementation, and provide technical mentorship for the team.

What You'll Do

Define and architect cost-effective, high-efficiency test solutions for Gate drivers, Power Stages, and Isolators on Cohu DMDx, DMDx DxV, and Acco STS8300 platforms.
Lead design reviews of complex high-performance test interface hardware, solving signal integrity and thermal challenges for high-voltage/high-power (GaN) applications.
Drive test builds for NPI projects from concept to release.
Drive DfT discussions with IC Design teams during the pre-silicon phase to ensure test coverage and yield targets.
Work with the Silicon Validation team to complete the ATE portion of characterization.
Drive systematic yield improvement through advanced statistical data analysis.
Formulate and execute aggressive Test Time Reduction strategies to significantly lower the Cost of Test.
Act as the technical focal point for cross-functional collaboration with international Design, Product Engineering, and OSAT teams.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
8-10+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor test development with a proven track record of delivering complex mixed-signal/power management products to mass production.
Deep understanding of Cohu DMDx, DMDx DxV, and Acco STS8300 tester platform architecture, resource constraints, and advanced instrument capability.
Mastery of C/C++ and VB with experience developing scalable test libraries, drivers, and automation frameworks.
Strong capability in statistical data analysis using tools like JMP, Datapower, Galaxy, or Dana.
Experience with GaN or high-voltage power device testing.

Nice to Have

Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Experience with the Teradyne ETS-800 platform.
Deep knowledge of Scan, MBIST, and analog DfT techniques.
Expert in scripting (Python/Perl) to automate data extraction, report generation, or hardware validation flows.
Advanced proficiency in reviewing complex multi-layer PCB designs for high-speed/high-power applications using Altium or Cadence.
