NVIDIA is seeking a Product Test Engineer in Changhua, Taiwan to support production testing and problem-solving for Silicon Photonics products. The role involves executing and debugging IC testing activities on the test floor, working with various equipment, and collaborating with local and remote engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Process material through a variety of equipment including testers, handlers, sorting equipment, and probers
- Utilize technical and troubleshooting skills to debug hardware and software issues on the SPIL test floor
- Monitor pre-test preparation of material and hardware
- Set up test environment as per engineer requests
- Ensure testing is executed and functioning as required throughout the testing process
- Debug and resolve equipment-related and test-related issues
- Communicate with local planning, engineering, and management teams
- Connect with NVIDIA engineers at remote locations
- Use face-to-face interactions, email, phone, online conferences, and instant messaging for communication
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor technical degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of proven experience as Test/Product Engineer
- 3+ years of proven experience supporting test floor operations
- Good verbal/written communication skills in English are required
- Computer literacy and basic data analysis skills are required
- Test stations/Test program debug experience
- Strong presentation, interpersonal skills
- Candidate must be flexible and capable of handling multi-task operations
- Very high problem-solving ability
- Must be a self-starter capable of leading own activities as well as supporting team activities
- Ability to work on off-shift with minimum of supervision
- Working during night shifts - Only when required as part of NPI or production issues
- Working onsite mainly at SPIL Changhua and traveling to SPIL Taichung from time to time is required
Nice to Have
- Knowledge in SW programming (C++, Perl, Linux, Python...)
- Advantages for knowledge in data analysis (JMP)
- Electro-optic experience
- Proven understanding of electronic circuits
- Automated Test Equipment (IC testers, probers, handlers, system Level test and reliability equipment)
