What You'll Do
Drive new business development and strengthen existing customer relationships across Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Partner closely with local channel teams and regional leadership to identify high-potential opportunities and shorten sales cycles. Develop and implement targeted sales strategies aligned with market demands and organizational goals.
Collaborate with marketing to design and execute customer-focused initiatives that increase volume and profitability. Share insights on market dynamics with product and management teams to inform strategic planning. Build trusted relationships at all levels of customer organizations, ensuring long-term engagement and satisfaction.
Support channel partner sales teams through training and guidance on Illumina’s products and sales methodologies. Contribute to regional campaigns and strategic initiatives aimed at expanding market presence. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activity, and technological developments to position solutions effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of five years of professional experience
- Proven ability to engage customers in technical discussions and solution-based conversations
- Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders in a sales or scientific context
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Willingness and ability to travel across the Southern Cone region
- Experience working within cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with NGS technology and its applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as a Ph.D. or MBA
- Background in arrays technology
- Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and JDE systems
