About the Role

At GE Aerospace, we're looking for a Senior Tax Manager – Planning & Operations. You will be responsible for leading UK and cross-border tax planning, operational tax execution, and governance for the UK group. Your work will ensure compliant, efficient outcomes aligned to business strategy, partnering across Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, Supply Chain, and business leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end UK tax provision process and CT600 filings, ensuring accurate calculations and timely submissions.
  • Oversee anti-hybrid assessments and documentation, embedding controls to maintain audit-ready support.
  • Manage Corporate Interest Restriction compliance, Group Relief strategy, and the Group Payment Arrangement to optimize cash flow.
  • Maintain clear governance and calendars across all UK entities.
  • Partner with FP&A to produce accurate short- and long-range UK cash tax forecasts, linking forecast drivers to business plans.
  • Track forecast vs. actuals and update guidance for leadership.
  • Set strategy and run case management for enquiries, audits, and rulings with HMRC.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement UK tax planning initiatives aligned with business strategy, including reorgs, funding, and incentives.
  • Build business cases, gain approvals, and conduct post-implementation reviews for planning initiatives.
  • Scope, select, and manage external tax advisers for compliance and planning work.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on tax areas.
  • Partner with Engineering, Legal, and Finance to shape tax‑efficient IP development and ownership models across the EU.
  • Establish operating guidelines and compliance documentation for IP lifecycle decisions.
  • Develop and implement transfer pricing approaches for EU engineering hubs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate and efficiently utilise tax attributes.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • ACA and/or CTA qualified.
  • Significant experience in Finance & Tax Operations.
  • Strong people and project leadership, concise technical writing, and the ability to translate complex tax issues into business-ready recommendations.
  • Ability to operate with high integrity under time pressure.
  • Skilled in coordinating external advisers and external auditors, setting scope, and driving quality and timelines.
