About the Role

This position involves guiding systems engineering processes from concept through deployment, supporting technical planning, risk management, and cross-functional coordination for advanced development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of system architectures and technical baselines
  • Define and manage system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Perform trade studies to evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions
  • Support integration of subsystems into cohesive system-level configurations
  • Develop verification and validation strategies for system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain configuration control of system designs and documentation
  • Conduct technical reviews and audits at key program milestones
  • Model system behavior using simulation and analytical tools
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Interface with stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations
  • Support proposal development and technical planning for new initiatives
  • Apply model-based systems engineering principles to streamline design processes
  • Translate customer needs into executable engineering specifications
  • Oversee system-level testing and evaluation activities
  • Provide technical leadership to junior engineering staff
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, design, and test cases
  • Develop system performance metrics and monitoring approaches
  • Support root cause analysis for system-level failures or anomalies
  • Ensure design scalability and adaptability across platforms
  • Facilitate communication between engineering disciplines and program management
  • Integrate reliability, safety, and maintainability into system design
  • Use systems thinking to anticipate long-term operational impacts
  • Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to system architecture

Security Requirement
