Vanderlande Industries B.V. is looking for a Senior Site Manager to lead the daily operations of self-performing and subcontracted installation staff for the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of our project systems. You will report construction activities to the Construction Manager and project team, ensuring successful project execution.
What You'll Do
- Participate in project development and pre-construction planning, including scheduling, estimating, and staffing.
- Coordinate the review and approval of issued for construction drawings and specifications.
- Lead construction coordination and documentation, including pre-construction conferences and weekly/monthly progress meetings.
- Develop scope of work packages and work with subcontractors and vendors for proposals.
- Work with subcontractors and vendors to develop and maintain schedules for their respective work.
- Develop start-up and commissioning plans and manage the commissioning process.
- Coordinate the construction RFI process.
- Assist engineers with quantity take offs and perform additional construction services duties as required.
- Implement scope, schedule, and budget for installation, conversion, or demolition projects.
- Foster and manage a strong HSE/EHS environment (Beyond Zero) between trades, clients, and design, adhering to project and OSHA safety requirements.
- Review RFPs, pre-construction activities, scope, and trade partner alignment.
- Develop schedules and coordinate trades to execute minor repairs and projects.
- Supervise the construction and progress of mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and related architectural and structural scopes.
- Work with subcontractors and vendors to prepare and review change orders.
- Take overall responsibility for project, technical, contractual, budget, and schedule activities across multiple disciplines.
- Ensure project deliverables are established, executed, and closed.
- Lead and manage the construction project team through site mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities.
- Review all costs associated with projects (change orders, purchase orders, engineering change orders, etc.).
- Review and approve all internal and subcontractor safety field reporting.
- Review expenses, timecards, and overtime approvals with the Site Project Manager.
- Lead teams by motivation and direction through multiple site superintendents, construction managers, and functional managers.
- Chair and drive daily and weekly trade meetings, and support pull planning sessions.
- Depending on project needs, run projects as both a Construction Manager and a Construction Coordinator, spending significant time in the field.
- Interface with factory engineers and managers to coordinate construction within live facilities without impacting production.
- Manage the daily activities of a client and contractor workforce to meet or exceed all schedules for project deliverables.
- Conduct periodic project site inspections.
- Review pay estimates from contractors.
- Solve problems in a timely manner while coordinating with appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinate as-built drawings with field and engineering teams.
- Interface between engineering and construction operations to resolve technical issues.
- Lead quality control efforts throughout the project.
- Complete the scope of work to the client's satisfaction while meeting HSE, quality, financial, risk management, business, and policy expectations.
- Manage self-perform installations with mechanical, electrical, and steel erection scopes.
- Be responsible for project reporting, including Daily Logs, 3 Week Look Ahead, Progress Tracking, Schedule Updates, Quality Logs, Change Directives, T&M Tracking, Material Inventory, Safety Reporting, Punch List Management, Meeting Minutes, and Omnitracker creation.
- Create and collaborate on plans, including Warehouse/Logistic Planning, Site Safety Plans, Quality Plans, Site Management Plans, and Installation Work Plans.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Site Management experience required.
- Oversight experience of mechanical and electrical subcontractor activities in an operational industrial facility performing renovations and build-outs.
- Ability to monitor contractor and subcontractor craftwork for compliance with project quality, safety, and security requirements.
- OSHA 30-hour safety card.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, NAVIS Works, Bluebeam Extreme, Procore, and Smartsheet.
- Able to read and interpret engineering schematics and design prints.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and steel installation drawings.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in presentation and communication to customer, contractor, and management audiences.
- Proven working knowledge of construction scheduling.
- Ability to lead and run meetings.
- Proven business development experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in planning, assessing, and modifying resource requirements, including work resource schedules and material delivery.
- Proficiency in specification development and subcontract agreements.
Nice to Have
- Conveyor Installation experience a plus.
- CMAA Certification a plus.
- Primavera (P6) experience a plus.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000
- Annual performance bonus program
