Responsibilities
- Record monthly and quarterly journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable; lead period-end close tasks such as reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analysis.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of revenue accounts, accounts receivable aging, deferred revenue, and related ledgers; assist in preparing revenue disclosures for internal reporting and audits.
- Manage the full accounts receivable lifecycle: generate invoices, apply cash, track aging, and follow up on collections; monitor delinquent accounts and ensure timely resolution.
- Work with Customer Success and Sales teams to resolve billing issues, credit requests, and customized payment terms; track key AR metrics such as DSO and collection effectiveness.
- Verify that invoices are issued correctly and match signed contracts; examine order forms to confirm billing terms, pricing, and proper revenue recognition before invoicing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance billing systems, invoicing logic, and automated workflows that support subscription and usage-based revenue models.
- Support FP&A with revenue and AR forecasting, analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, and deliver on-demand financial insights for leadership.
- Assist in internal and external audits and serve as a cross-functional resource on revenue and billing impacts of new products, pricing changes, and market launches.
- Lead process optimization and automation initiatives across the order-to-cash cycle, including leveraging AI tools to streamline recurring accounting tasks.
Compensation
Competitive salary, equity, health insurance, and benefits. US base salary range: $160,000 – $190,000 + equity + benefits. Pay varies by location, level, role, experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
