As Senior Product Manager, you will guide the full lifecycle of software-driven solutions within the Material Science domain, aligning closely with hardware development teams and global stakeholders. Your role is central to defining long-term product vision, ensuring market relevance, and delivering profitable growth across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute global product strategies, coordinating with R&D, marketing, operations, and regional teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
- Influence product roadmaps by providing strategic input to engineering and development teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle activities, from concept through commercialization, with accountability for financial performance, pricing, and margin optimization.
- Lead go-to-market planning, including product positioning, messaging, and training programs for internal and external audiences.
- Evaluate third-party technologies and partnerships to enhance and extend the product portfolio.
- Act as a technical and market expert, supporting complex customer engagements and strategic initiatives with deep domain knowledge in imaging and industrial microscopy.
- Monitor competitive dynamics, technology trends, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and portfolio direction.
- Represent the product line globally, working with cross-regional teams to drive adoption and market success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading product management from concept to end-of-life, with a strong record in P&L ownership and commercialization.
- Background in technical product development or management, ideally involving hardware-software integration in scientific or industrial systems.
- Understanding of Agile development practices and experience managing product delivery in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of translating market insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and influence skills, with experience navigating global, matrixed organizations.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages such as German, French, or Japanese are beneficial.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a technical product role, with exposure to R&D, commercialization, or sales.
