Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and oversee Microsoft SQL Server clusters and associated components
- Maintain and manage relational databases on Microsoft SQL Server platforms
- Handle ETL and DTS packages within Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Develop and manage T-SQL views, queries, and stored procedures
- Demonstrate knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Demonstrate knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, or in person for IT systems and equipment
- Keep maintenance logs and conduct follow-ups for scheduled and on-call maintenance of servers and workstations
- Execute, configure, monitor, and sustain software backup, update, recovery, and storage solutions
- Oversee enterprise-level servers and critical services
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues through corrective maintenance
- Monitor and manage Windows 2003 and later Active Directory, DNS, multi-master zones, WINS, and replication systems
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server clusters and cluster components
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft SQL Server relational databases
- Experience managing ETL and DTS packages in SQL Server
- Strong skills in T-SQL including views, queries, and stored procedures
- Understanding of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Ability to provide technical support for IT systems and equipment
- Experience maintaining records and tracking follow-ups for preventive and reactive maintenance
- Familiarity with software backup, update, recovery processes, and related devices
- Proven ability to monitor enterprise-wide servers and services
- Experience performing troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on hardware and software
- Working knowledge of Windows 2003 and newer Active Directory environments
- Experience with integrated DNS servers and multi-master zone configurations
- Experience managing WINS servers and replication infrastructure
