As a Sr. Material Planner, you will play a central role in maintaining the flow of materials essential for uninterrupted manufacturing. Your primary responsibility will be balancing supply and demand through strategic planning, ensuring materials are available when needed while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute short- and long-term material plans to support production schedules and inventory targets
- Lead regular coordination meetings with internal teams and external suppliers to align on forecasts, purchase orders, and supply risks
- Track material movement across procurement, warehousing, production, and distribution stages
- Establish optimal stock levels and implement strategies to reduce obsolete or slow-moving inventory
- Address supply disruptions quickly, particularly raw material shortages, to maintain production continuity
- Work closely with on-site supply chain personnel to synchronize daily planning activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material availability and reduce inventory holding days
- Design and implement planning tools to strengthen supply chain efficiency
- Manage key supplier relationships to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and contractual standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in operational planning, supply chain, or a similar function
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong command of business English and effective communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain composed and productive under pressure
- High sense of accountability and ownership
- Commitment to ongoing process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Training or experience with SAP, APO, or MRP systems
- Completion of APICS Module I (Basics of Supply Chain Management)
