About the Role
Lead the growth and management of the EMEA AI Forward Deployed Engineering team, oversee critical regional accounts, recruit and develop elite data science and ML engineering talent, and serve as a trusted technical advisor during large-scale AI transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing AI/ML professional services team, including recruiting, mentoring, and designing scalable team structures to support long-term growth
- Establish and grow executive-level relationships with EMEA clients and partners, including VP+, CIO, and CDO stakeholders, providing trusted technical guidance during complex AI initiatives
- Collaborate with Field Engineering and Sales leadership to create joint strategies for key accounts and ensure seamless cross-functional delivery coordination
- Drive strategic AI professional services programs, develop best practices, and implement standardized delivery frameworks to enable repeatable, scalable engagements globally
- Influence Product, R&D, and Go-to-Market teams by integrating customer feedback and field insights to shape product development and market strategy
- Manage performance metrics for AI service-led accounts, including revenue targets, utilization rates, and customer reference acquisition
- Serve as a recognized industry expert in AI and machine learning, representing the company in thought leadership forums
Requirements
- Proven experience in building, hiring for, and managing teams of data scientists and machine learning engineers, with a history of scaling technical organizations through process optimization and leadership development
- Ability to define, lead, and support technical projects, manage client escalations, and ensure successful outcomes in enterprise settings
- Strong technical foundation in machine learning, generative AI, and data science, with a commitment to staying current in rapidly evolving domains
- Experience leading teams that design and deploy production-grade ML systems in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Track record of collaborating with senior executives to define strategic objectives, align technical roadmaps, and build trust during complex engagements
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership, working closely with Sales, Product, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver measurable business value through AI/ML
- Collaborative, organization-first approach that prioritizes company-wide goals over individual or team silos
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, or equivalent hands-on experience

- Background in customer-facing consulting or professional services leadership
- Prior experience working with or delivering solutions on the Databricks platform
