About the Role

Standard Insurance Company is hiring a Sr. Internal Auditor to lead our internal audit program. You will conduct audits, consulting reviews, and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) testing to support management and the Audit Committee.

What You'll Do

  • Lead large and complex financial, operational, and compliance audits, ICFR testing, consulting projects, fraud investigations, and special projects.
  • Oversee and review the work of internal auditors, providing leadership, coaching, and technical guidance.
  • Lead and participate in developing a dynamic, risk-based audit plan linked to the Company's key business objectives.
  • Identify or develop data analytics and enhancements to department and auditing procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • 4 to 6 years of auditing experience or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced knowledge of Insurance Company Accounting and Reporting Requirements including Model Audit Rule (MAR) or Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
  • Advanced knowledge of information technology and internal auditing standards and techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of control frameworks and risk analysis models, such as COSO.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $88,000 - $129,000.
