Addepar is hiring a Sr. Instructional Designer to shape the future of help and training, reimagining how clients and employees learn about products and services. You will play a pivotal role in creating a seamless onboarding experience and defining the instructional strategy for complex learning projects.
What You'll Do
- Define the instructional strategy and design comprehensive learning paths, courses, and interactive training modules.
- Develop a deep understanding of user learning needs, product complexities, and onboarding challenges.
- Proactively identify and champion innovative solutions for best-in-class learning experiences.
- Act as the primary instructional design liaison and strategic partner for cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate and lead highly productive working sessions and content reviews.
- Mentor and guide technical writers and content creators on instructional design concepts and best practices.
- Establish and refine guidelines for instructional design and related workflows.
- Spearhead audits and optimization initiatives for learning content to ensure tight processes.
- Analyze user engagement and feedback to inform instructional strategy.
- Strategize and implement improvements for learning content organization and curriculum architecture.
- Champion the evolution of Addepar's self-guided learning experience.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of instructional design experience.
- An inspiring portfolio showcasing strategic approach to designing engaging learning experiences, including samples of course design, learning modules, and interactive content.
- Fantastic writing (American English), editing, and proofreading skills.
- Adept at leveraging AI tools and techniques to optimize content creation and improve learning effectiveness.
- Deep understanding and practical application of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMSs), and content management systems.
- Proficient using design systems and editorial style guides.
- Familiar with Figma, Zendesk, Confluence, and Jira.
- Able to work independently, communicating across multiple time zones.
- High emotional intelligence.
