The University of Southern California (USC) is hiring a Sr. Director, Program & Change Management. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of Datasite’s Strategic Initiatives and Services, including assessment, planning, and management. You will act as a leader for the largest Strategic Initiative Project Sponsor and manage a team of Program/Project Managers overseeing additional initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Lead, direct, and facilitate all activities for successful delivery of each Strategic Initiative.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
- Partner with Functional Teams leadership and EPMO Program & Project Managers to ensure effective governance.
- Partner with PMO teams to define and implement project/program management best practices and success metrics.
- Ensure all Strategic Initiatives projects have the right EPMO support to deliver within scope, time, and budget.
- Guide teams through weekly and monthly planning, decision-making, and risk management.
- Work with teams to define strategic opportunities, determine portfolio direction, and resolve escalations.
- Lead creation of Program/Change Management for Monthly Business Review assessments.
- Manage a team of Sr. Director Partners to ensure consistency, quality, and delivery of all deliverables.
- Act as a Change Agent to transform Datasite’s operating model.
- Direct Strategic Initiatives business and product portfolio planning and success measurement.
- Lead and oversee weekly and monthly Strategic Initiatives leadership meetings and conduct quarterly reviews to the SVP EPMO.
- Lead high-level sessions for cross-program planning, dependency, and risk management.
- Develop and lead a team of Program/Project Managers to drive planning and execution.
- Review/approve programs throughout their End-to-end lifecycle in conformance to EPMO guidelines.
- Act as the communications conduit to executive sponsors and the enterprise steering committee.
- Escalate risks and decisions appropriately to executive sponsors and the SVP EPMO.
- Track and assess Strategic Initiatives team performance against budget and Long-Range Planning goals.
- Be accountable to the EPMO team and Strategic Initiatives Project Sponsors.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Operations, Engineering, or related work experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience and acumen at a leading technology company.
- 8+ years driving strategic initiatives from planning through program execution.
- 8+ years in a leadership position with a thorough understanding of product and software development lifecycle processes.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, relationship building, program management, change management, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced cross-functional matrixed organization.
- A high level of integrity and respect for all teammates and stakeholders.

- Smartsheet/Jira experience.
- Prosci or Adkar certification.
Team & Environment
You will manage 15-50 Program/Project Managers in a direct/matrixed organization and report to the SVP EPMO.

- Compensation: $141,700.00 - $247,700.00
