What You'll Do - Establish strategic direction for designated product domain and team - Offer creative leadership and mentorship to cultivate a motivated, high-achieving team - Conduct comprehensive global market research to uncover emerging seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories, and competitive insights - Generate conceptual designs and illustrations for product lines, championing design concepts through presentations to leadership and cross-functional colleagues - Forge robust interdepartmental relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure seamless product experience from concept to store - Collaborate with Production and Technical Design to develop technical specifications, communicating design vision while maintaining quality and margin objectives - Spearhead and guide critical design and product initiatives through implementation Who You Are - Capable of thriving in a rapid, fluid, and highly collaborative environment, managing multiple seasonal projects and tracking development timelines - Demonstrate sophisticated style sensibility and color understanding, skillfully translating trends through customer and brand perspectives - Possess comprehensive expertise in silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, color application, sewing techniques, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel - Adept at evaluating nuanced scenarios using diverse information sources - Skilled at filtering, prioritizing, analyzing, and validating complex conceptual and procedural elements throughout product creation, including garment construction, hand sketching, fabric selection, and interdisciplinary product development understanding
