Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is looking for a Sr. Chief Engineer - Data Center Facilities to ensure the efficient, safe, and continuous operation of critical systems in a Data Center environment. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal conditions.
What You'll Do
- Operate, inspect, and maintain various systems and equipment in a Data Center Critical Environment.
- Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and CRAC units, associated equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, and building repairs.
- Become familiar with critical environment equipment, including building automation systems and fire/life safety systems.
- Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy.
- Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.
- Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
- Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
- Complete all required safety trainings as scheduled.
- Submit P-card Receipts Daily.
- Update work order status in real time.
- Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
- Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection.
- Escalate problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner.
- Attend work and safety meetings as required.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
- Experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environment.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Universal EPA 608 Certification.
- CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experience.
- Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
- 2 years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in one specific craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations, Material Handling Equipment).
- Familiarity with building automation systems and fire/life safety.

- Compensation: $98,000.00 – $103,000.00 USD per year.
