About the Role

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is looking for a Sr. Chief Engineer - Data Center Facilities to ensure the efficient, safe, and continuous operation of critical systems in a Data Center environment. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal conditions.

What You'll Do

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain various systems and equipment in a Data Center Critical Environment.
  • Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and CRAC units, associated equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, and building repairs.
  • Become familiar with critical environment equipment, including building automation systems and fire/life safety systems.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy.
  • Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Complete all required safety trainings as scheduled.
  • Submit P-card Receipts Daily.
  • Update work order status in real time.
  • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
  • Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection.
  • Escalate problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner.
  • Attend work and safety meetings as required.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification.
  • CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experience.
  • Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • 2 years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills.

Nice to Have

  • Expertise in one specific craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations, Material Handling Equipment).
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and fire/life safety.

  • Compensation: $98,000.00 – $103,000.00 USD per year.
