About the Role
This position supports clients in deploying and optimizing Splunk platforms through technical consulting and implementation services. The consultant will lead configuration, troubleshooting, and training efforts while ensuring solutions meet operational and security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Splunk environments tailored to client requirements
- Collaborate with clients to understand operational challenges and data needs
- Design scalable data ingestion strategies using Splunk tools
- Troubleshoot performance issues in logging and monitoring systems
- Provide hands-on training and knowledge transfer to client teams
- Document system architectures and solution designs
- Support integration of Splunk with security and IT operations tools
- Assist in migration projects from legacy systems to modern Splunk platforms
- Develop dashboards and reports for real-time operational visibility
- Work with engineering teams to ensure solution alignment with best practices
- Lead discovery sessions to gather technical and business requirements
- Optimize search queries and indexing workflows
- Ensure compliance with data handling and security policies
- Deliver post-implementation support and system health checks
- Participate in project planning and timeline estimations
- Advise on capacity planning and infrastructure sizing
- Assist in defining alerting strategies for incident response
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk product updates
- Coordinate with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
- Support audit readiness through logging and reporting frameworks
- Contribute to internal knowledge base and tooling improvements
- Follow structured project delivery methodologies
- Perform system validation and user acceptance testing support
- Assist in developing runbooks and operational procedures
- Engage in continuous improvement of deployment processes
Nice to Have
- Splunk Architect certification
- Experience with DevOps or SRE practices
- Background in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare
- Prior consulting experience in large-scale IT transformations
- Knowledge of data governance and retention policies
