About the Role
The Junior Contracts Administrator will assist in managing contract documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting procurement and program teams through accurate recordkeeping and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, organizing, and maintaining contract documents
- Track contract milestones and deliverables using established systems
- Support compliance with federal contracting regulations
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather required documentation
- Maintain accurate contract records and databases
- Prepare reports on contract status and performance metrics
- Monitor deadlines and renewal dates for active agreements
- Facilitate signature workflows and approvals
- Review contract terms for completeness and consistency
- Assist in responding to audit requests
- Ensure proper storage and retrieval of contract files
- Support onboarding of new vendors and contractors
- Update tracking spreadsheets and dashboards regularly
- Communicate with project managers on contract requirements
- Identify discrepancies in contract documentation
- Escalate issues to senior contract staff promptly
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Attend team meetings and training sessions
- Follow established protocols for document retention
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive contract data
- Assist with transition of contracts between teams
- Use contract management software to log key terms
- Verify supporting documents are attached to files
- Support year-end closeout procedures for contracts
- Adhere to internal quality assurance standards
