Austin Health is hiring a Speech Pathologist Grade 3 to provide specialist leadership within adult admitted sub-acute services. You will be instrumental in developing clinical excellence, managing a predominantly sub-acute caseload, and supporting a broad spectrum of hospital settings.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and drive the development of excellence within speech pathology practice across acute and sub-acute settings.
- Manage a predominantly sub-acute clinical caseload.
- Support acute clinical settings, the emergency department, outpatients, and/or outreach as required.
- Direct the team to deliver high quality, evidence-based client care in conjunction with the speech pathology manager.
- Demonstrate extensive, evidence-based specialist knowledge, advanced clinical reasoning, and competencies.
- Participate in research and leadership development through internal programs supported by the Allied Health Education Research Unit.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Eligibility for Certified Practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Expertise in the management of adults with disorders of communication and swallowing within a hospital setting.
- A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience within a healthcare setting.
