Maryville University is hiring an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor for the Walker College of Health Professions. You will supervise graduate students in the on-campus master's program, providing direct oversight during therapy sessions and mentoring to bridge academic knowledge with clinical practicum.
What You'll Do
- Supervise graduate students during therapy sessions as outlined in the schedule and course contract.
- Participate in a welcome orientation to learn the University’s mission, policies, procedures, and the Canvas learning management system.
- Communicate clinical expectations, teaching methods, and assignment deadlines to students.
- Use a variety of instructional, supervisory, and mentoring styles to support student learning during clinical experiences.
- Promote active learning through wrap-up meetings and opportunities for student self-reflection.
- Provide verbal and written feedback during and after online therapy sessions on student performance across KASA standards.
- Grade written documentation, such as treatment plans and SOAP notes, in a timely and thorough manner.
- Establish office hours to assist students with questions and concerns.
- Report early alerts for students who are not actively engaging in the course.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Missouri State Licensure from the Missouri Board for the Healing Arts or eligibility for licensure in Missouri.
Nice to Have
- Clinical experience providing evaluation and therapy services via telehealth platforms.
- Previous experience supervising graduate-level speech-language pathology students.
- Completed at least 2 hours of professional development in clinical supervision or education.
