The Learning Technology Solutions Architect plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the technical foundation of digital learning platforms. This position ensures learning systems operate effectively by managing configurations, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing integrations across tools used in programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Canvas LMS environments, including course setup, system administration, and technical assistance for delivery teams.
- Partner with learning and operations teams to resolve platform challenges and maintain stable, accessible learning spaces.
- Identify improvements in learner access, system setup, and delivery processes to increase efficiency.
- Design and implement integrations between Canvas and platforms such as ClickUp, Google Workspace, Circle, Freshdesk, and Zoom.
- Assess current workflows to strengthen data flow and connectivity across systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for integrations, dependencies, and technical processes.
- Build automation solutions that reduce repetitive tasks in learning operations.
- Use APIs, scripting, or automation tools to enable seamless data exchange between platforms.
- Ensure consistent data organization, naming standards, and metadata practices across systems.
- Document technical workflows and system designs for clarity and continuity.
Qualifications
Candidates should have hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems, particularly Canvas LMS, and a background supporting digital learning environments. Experience working across multiple SaaS platforms is essential, along with the ability to analyze workflows and recommend technical enhancements. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required for platform customization and troubleshooting. Familiarity with APIs, automation tools, and system integrations is expected, as is a strong systems-thinking approach. The ideal candidate can clearly document technical processes and has prior experience implementing automated workflows or integrated solutions.
