As a Specialty Sales Consultant, you will lead the promotion of specialty pharmaceutical products across an assigned territory in Iowa. Your primary focus will be engaging with physicians, healthcare providers, and key decision-makers to share accurate, up-to-date product information in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, science-based product education to healthcare professionals, emphasizing approved uses and clinical benefits.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans tailored to the Iowa market, identifying high-impact prescribers and institutions.
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets through disciplined execution of marketing initiatives and field activities.
- Analyze local prescribing patterns and payer dynamics to adapt outreach strategies effectively.
- Collaborate with medical, reimbursement, and payer teams to support patient access and address market challenges.
- Maintain full compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, including ethical promotion guidelines and budgetary controls.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a four-year degree and at least three years of pharmaceutical sales experience. Demonstrated success in markets influenced by payor policies is essential. Preferred background includes specialty or CNS-focused sales, experience with academic medical centers, and familiarity with REMS or specialty pharmacy systems.
Travel within the territory is required, including approximately one overnight trip per week. Strong communication, planning, and relationship-building skills are critical for success in this independent, goal-driven role.
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $116,800 to $175,200, plus eligibility for discretionary annual incentives and equity grants under the company’s long-term plan.
