Gulf Latin America is hiring a Specialized Mechanical Support Engineer to be responsible for ensuring all project work—in terms of quality, labor, time, safety, and environmental protection—is performed according to engineering and contractual agreements. You will play a central role in adhering to construction guidelines and applicable standards.
What You'll Do
- Verify that work in all aspects (quality, labor, time, safety, environmental) is performed per engineering and contractual agreements.
- Master and understand engineering documentation specific to your discipline and related fields.
- Make decisions and solve problems during construction, including creating Red Line documentation.
- Create construction, commissioning, startup, and dismantling or demolition plans.
- Develop execution and acquisition strategies, and analyze logistical concepts.
- Manage the information flow to contractors and oversee their activities on assigned projects.
- Review and release drawings, and request quotes for materials and/or services.
- Coordinate contractors across multiple specialties (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, etc.).
- Control and manage material acquisition in SAP and/or services.
- Close safety review actions in IBM Notes.
- Coordinate and monitor mechanical, no-load, and startup tests, as well as pre-commissioning.
- Coordinate material tests and schedule user training.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering projects.
- Proficiency with technical software: AutoCAD and Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, teamwork, empathy, assertiveness, and tolerance for working under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- Basic English proficiency is desirable.
