The Instrumentation Engineer plays a key role in shaping the technical direction of instrumented systems across gas and steam turbines, generators, and associated fluid systems. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of turbine projects, supporting engineering efforts from concept through to customer delivery on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of new unit projects worldwide, ensuring technical accuracy from design initiation to final handover
- Design and validate instrumentation systems across multiple product lines, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and balance of plant systems
- Create and review technical documentation such as instrumentation drawings, wiring schematics, bills of material, and specifications using GTCC PLM
- Develop electrical diagrams in EPLAN and manage system data in AVEVA, including schematics, instrument databases, and signal mappings
- Conduct engineering analyses for fluid systems with instrumentation integration
- Work closely with mechanical, controls, and electrical engineering teams to align system designs
- Assist in resolving technical issues raised by customers or field teams
- Take part in formal design reviews and milestone evaluations throughout product development
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or a related engineering field is required. Prior academic projects, internships, or co-op experience in instrumentation, control systems, or P&ID interpretation is preferred.
Familiarity with engineering tools such as CAD software, EPLAN, PLM systems, or AVEVA is an advantage. Strong analytical abilities and clear communication skills—especially in global, remote settings—are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and technical growth.
Development & Environment
This role offers structured mentorship and exposure across engineering disciplines, supporting a clear progression from entry-level contributor to recognized technical authority. You’ll work in a fast-moving, globally connected environment that values curiosity, collaboration, and engineering precision. Career development is built into the role, with relocation support available where needed.
