Lincoln Financial is hiring a Specialist, Complex Long Term Disability Claims to independently manage a challenging caseload. You will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, making timely claim determinations, and providing exceptional support throughout the life of each claim.
What You'll Do
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals via phone and email to gather information on claims and applicable benefits.
- Collaborate with case managers, nurse case managers, vocational case managers, and consulting physicians to make appropriate and ethical claim decisions.
- Review complex medical records and leverage tools to determine approval durations and plan future actions.
- Provide outstanding customer service by proactively recognizing customer needs.
What We're Looking For
- A High School diploma, GED, or minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience.
- 3-5 years of Long Term Disability claims experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
