Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely investment reporting for General Account Invested Assets under statutory, GAAP, tax, and management accounting frameworks.
- Lead investment accounting and reporting initiatives as project manager for team-driven projects.
- Conduct on-demand accounting research and supply analytical insights on fixed income and alternative investments to support evolving investment strategies across internal departments.
- Identify risks and technical issues in investment accounting, collect relevant data, evaluate financial impacts, and communicate findings to leadership; assist in SOX control execution and documentation.
- Address and resolve discrepancies related to General Account Invested Assets raised by portfolio managers and external asset managers.
- Work closely with team members and enterprise-wide stakeholders to ensure precision and timeliness in investment accounting processes.
- Stay informed on evolving professional and industry trends, propose process improvements, and actively develop new technical and procedural competencies.
- Monitor emerging trends and regulatory changes in assigned areas, assess their implications, and partner with management to integrate updates into current and future reporting solutions.
Compensation
$69,000 - $124,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range; pay varies based on experience, education, location, and role requirements. Position eligible for discretionary annual incentives, long-term incentives, sales incentives, and standard benefits.
