Cognizant is hiring an Outreach Operations Specialist to join our team supporting Google's geo mission. In this role, you will focus on improving the accuracy of Google Maps by researching and outreaching to authoritative entities to collate geographic data.
What You'll Do
- Conduct research in assigned cities to collate geographic data from approved sources.
- Communicate Google's geo mission to authoritative entities and engage potential partners to share basemap data, primarily promoting the Geo Data Upload (GDU) Tool.
- Liaise between external partners and Google stakeholder teams to convey requirements, validate data, and coordinate updates about fixes or edits.
- Report details of outreach activities and operational issues to the GDO Outreach Operations Lead, providing insights on partner expectations, user journeys, and data gaps.
- Manage and track all data submissions with GDO operations teams and external partners.
- Update internal planning tools and platforms, logging all research, outreach, rejections, and resulting submissions.
- Document deliverables, including the number of partners contacted or onboarded, open data sources identified, and data sets submitted.
- Address and resolve external partner queries associated with the project.
- Troubleshoot process and operational issues reported by data sources, developing a deep understanding of data formats and structures.
- Manage the data pipeline from partner data capture to the creation of launch schedules, ensuring high-quality data.
- Utilize Google and non-Google tools to engage with new partners and track communications.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, GIS, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience working in digital or technology companies with tech products.
- Experience in Business Development, B2B partnerships/sales, or customer service.
- Expertise in Salesforce.com and Google Drive.
- Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
