Waveguide LLC, part of Compass Group, is hiring a Sous Chef to ensure the successful operation of a facility's Culinary Department. You will assist in supervising, preparing, and cooking various food items while developing daily menus. Our company uses the Power of Food to create personalized dining experiences for patients and café guests, advancing our clients' healing and healthful missions.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account.
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
- Produce and execute catering events.
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary team.
What We're Looking For
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
- Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet.
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities.
- ServSafe certification.
Nice to Have
- Catering experience.
- High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
- Institutional and batch cooking experience.
