Oliver & Bonacini is hiring a Sous Chef, Events

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of event menus.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during events, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain food quality and presentation standards.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Collaborate with event planners and catering team.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes for events.
  • Handle special dietary requests and restrictions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on event-specific tasks.
  • Coordinate with other departments for event logistics.
  • Manage event-specific budgets and cost controls.
  • Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to event sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests.
  • Handle last-minute changes and emergencies during events.
  • Document and report on event outcomes and feedback.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during events.
  • Assist in the development of new event menus and recipes.
  • Provide support during non-event hours for prep and cleanup.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any issues.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are properly labeled and stored.
