Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver regional sourcing plans for Global Components, bringing a structured and commercial approach to cost, quality, delivery, risk and supplier performance.
- Lead RFx activity, supplier evaluation and vendor selection, using sound judgement and clear communication to support the right sourcing decisions.
- Conduct country and regional market analysis, translating supplier, market and cost data into practical recommendations for the business.
- Assess supplier capability, commercial risk, ethics and CSR requirements, with a strong focus on quality, safety, compliance and responsible sourcing.
- Negotiate and implement commercial agreements with regional suppliers, balancing value creation, risk management and long-term supplier performance.
- Review total cost of ownership, including cost, lead time, quality, delivery, working capital and commercial conditions.
- Support supplier onboarding, supplier exits and supplier relationship management, building strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Conduct supplier audits, compliance checks and Modern Slavery reviews, ensuring supplier activity aligns with Bradken’s governance and ethical standards.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Quality, Operations and Procurement teams, bringing a One Bradken mindset across regions, functions and priorities.
- Manage changing priorities and regional complexity with resilience, practical problem solving and a focus on keeping outcomes moving.
Requirements
- Around 10 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement
- Experience working in a multinational, regional or complex business environment
- Background in heavy engineering, manufacturing, mining, resources, industrial products or similar
- Experience leading RFx processes, supplier selection and commercial negotiations
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to build fact-based business cases
- Ability to assess total cost of ownership and supplier risk
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to turn insights into clear recommendations
- Confidence working with stakeholders across different regions, functions and levels
- Experience using ERP, Excel, P2P, B2B, Microsoft Office and procurement or sourcing systems

- Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Procurement, International Commerce or a related discipline
