What You'll Do
In this role, you will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key product categories across the APAC region, with a focus on disposable medical goods such as nitrile gloves, personal protective equipment, and plastic components. You'll lead efforts to diversify supply bases beyond China, identifying and qualifying new suppliers to strengthen supply continuity.
You will manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring alignment with North American market needs. Leading risk mitigation strategies is a core responsibility, including assessing supply vulnerabilities and executing contingency plans. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on shared objectives, using data analysis and financial insight to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
Through benchmarking, market research, and industry analysis, you'll help shape long-term sourcing strategies. Your work will support responsible procurement practices in line with company ethics and compliance standards, while applying deep knowledge of manufacturing, technical specifications, and supply chain dynamics.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management
- Bring at least 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing within a multinational organization
- Demonstrate fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have working proficiency in spoken Mandarin; reading and writing abilities are a plus
- Be highly skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Possess proven project management experience and the ability to lead complex initiatives
- Understand manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain operations
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across global teams and organizational levels
- Show initiative, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership
- Be open to traveling up to 30% of the time for business needs
- Thrive in a matrixed environment, delivering results through collaboration
