Role Overview
As the Sourcing Manager for Global Procurement in the APAC region, you will lead strategic sourcing efforts focused on disposable medical products, including nitrile exam gloves, woven and nonwoven PPE, and plastic-based items. Your work will directly impact supply chain stability, cost optimization, and long-term supplier alignment for global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of APAC sourcing projects, including strategic initiatives, cost reduction programs, and supply diversification strategies such as China+1
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers in non-China APAC markets to strengthen supply base resilience
- Manage supplier relationships and performance in coordination with regional and global procurement teams
- Support North American market supply risk mitigation through proactive sourcing planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on shared project goals and supplier-related outcomes
- Analyze market and financial data to uncover savings opportunities and inform sourcing decisions
- Conduct benchmarking and business analytics to shape sourcing roadmaps
- Ensure compliance with ethical procurement practices and company policies
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, service, and sustainability
- Maintain alignment across functions to meet financial and supply chain objectives
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain. Eight years of experience in strategic sourcing within a multinational organization is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential, along with demonstrated project management skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory, with basic oral Mandarin proficiency required. The role demands effective communication across global teams and multiple organizational levels. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and supply chain operations is critical for success.
Candidates must be self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a matrixed environment. Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally is expected.
Preferred Experience
- Background in medical devices or regulated industries
- Ability to read and write in Mandarin
