About the Role

OpenAI is seeking a Sourcer to focus on Business, G&A, and Go To Market functions. In this role, you will own the top-of-funnel strategy and candidate outreach, partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and stakeholders to identify and engage exceptional talent and ensure an outstanding candidate experience.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to build customized sourcing strategies for G&A and GTM roles.
  • Act as the primary candidate touchpoint from the first outreach through the onsite stage.
  • Build highly targeted searches that deliver precise candidate profiles.
  • Craft thoughtful, personalized outreach to engage even the most passive talent.
  • Conduct talent mapping and maintain long-term relationships with high-priority prospects.
  • Leverage creative sourcing channels such as events, talks, communities, and non-traditional networks.
  • Maintain organized, data-driven tracking of candidates and pipeline health.
  • Represent OpenAI at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to cross-functional recruiting projects and process improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of sourcing experience.
  • Experience sourcing for a variety of non-technical roles (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, policy, operations, sales, partnerships, customer success).
  • Proven skill in identifying and engaging high-caliber talent in competitive markets.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with hiring teams and act as a trusted talent advisor.
  • Strong organizational skills and a data-driven approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Enthusiasm for connecting people to meaningful work and helping teams scale effectively.
  • Curiosity about and interest in technology and artificial intelligence.

Nice to Have

  • Ideally in-house experience at high-growth companies.

Team & Environment

You will report to either our Business Recruiting or Go To Market Recruiting Lead. The team is a close-knit, mission-driven crew that takes pride in thoughtful, relationship-first hiring.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York City, or remotely within the U.S.
