Wagmo is hiring a Claims Processor to review claim submissions and determine coverage based on policy agreements. You will verify automated claim items and manage the claims process through to reimbursement or transfer to our insurance team, acting as an ambassador of our customer-centered journey while maintaining clear communication with policyholders, claim staff, third-party administrators, and veterinary professionals.
What You'll Do
- Administer intake of Wellness and Insurance claims in our systems, including automated line item review, allocating services to either Wellness or Insurance, and sending files to our insurance partner when necessary.
- Fully adjudicate Wellness claim items from intake to reimbursement in accordance with our SLAs.
- Interact with pet parents and clinic staff as needed to complete claim processing.
- Work out of a shared queue to prioritize timely responses to inbound customer claim inquiries.
- Work collaboratively across all internal departments to execute on claim related initiatives and drive positive customer experiences.
- Actively engage in developmental improvement from quality assurance and coaching feedback.
- Proactively gather customer feedback and make suggestions for product and process improvements that drive better customer outcomes.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.
What We're Looking For
- Prior veterinary medical experience, knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and diagnostics.
- Proven ability to independently seek solutions to problems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite products and claims-related software programs.
- Demonstrated success in cross-team collaboration and working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority tasks, manage your day-to-day schedule, and hit deadlines consistently.
- Detail-oriented with excellent design, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated critical thinker who can work independently to solve problems.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
