The S&OP Analyst is responsible for driving data-driven demand planning insights across a 3-to-24-month horizon. This role ensures the accuracy and reliability of demand forecasts by analyzing historical trends, identifying forecast bias, and evaluating key planning assumptions. The analyst maintains and validates core planning data, including product hierarchies, market mappings, and planning calendars, to support consistent and auditable outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of demand plan changes between cycles, identifying key drivers and assessing downstream impacts on supply and inventory
- Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Finance teams to capture and document assumptions related to promotions, new product launches, and market changes
- Develop demand forecasts for new product introductions by gathering cross-functional input, modeling scenarios, and integrating launch volumes into the overall plan
- Support product lifecycle transitions by evaluating demand patterns, managing phase-out plans, and adjusting forecasts accordingly
- Facilitate demand review meetings by delivering actionable insights, highlighting risks and opportunities, and recommending improvements to plan quality
- Coordinate with S&OE teams to align on short-term demand changes and execution priorities
- Track and report on planning KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, demand volatility, and inventory levels, providing clear explanations and action plans
- Prepare executive-level S&OP materials that summarize assumptions, scenarios, decisions, and follow-up actions
- Ensure compliance with GxP standards by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and supporting audit readiness
- Advance planning effectiveness through data standardization, tool enhancements, and process improvements
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Administration, Engineering, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in demand planning or a similar role. Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with SAP, SAP IBP, or OBP are required. Familiarity with reporting tools is essential for generating insights and dashboards. Advanced English skills are necessary for cross-functional collaboration in a global environment.
