About the Role
A technical role focused on driving Proof of Value exercises, delivering tailored platform demonstrations, and building business cases for cloud data platform optimization. The position involves deep collaboration with sales, customers, and product teams to validate and implement solutions that address cost, performance, and technical challenges in cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to conduct detailed technical discovery sessions, gaining insight into prospects' cloud environments, cost challenges, optimization goals, and business objectives.
- Lead technical validation processes and manage Proof of Value (POV) initiatives for the SELECT platform.
- Prepare, manage, and execute proof of concept engagements with precision, ensuring successful outcomes that align with customer expectations.
- Customize and deliver impactful demonstrations of the SELECT platform, highlighting relevant features and addressing specific customer use cases.
- Use analytical expertise and knowledge of cloud data platforms to build strong business cases and detailed ROI analyses that show measurable cost savings and performance gains.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for SELECT, supporting optimal customer outcomes and smooth implementation processes.
- Take full responsibility for the technical success of SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through evaluations and meeting all technical requirements.
- Present SELECT capabilities at company and industry events, demonstrating expertise in optimizing Snowflake, Databricks, and upcoming BigQuery platforms.
- Convert customer feedback on pain points and missing features into clear, technically sound input for engineering teams.
- Advocate for customer technical needs during product roadmap discussions.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal business systems.
- Support the development of tools and systems that generate performance metrics and business insights.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years in a Solutions Engineering role within a B2B SaaS environment, with substantial experience selling to users of Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery.
- Proven technical expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, including best practices for usage and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with SaaS tools related to cloud data platforms, particularly in observability, cost optimization, FinOps, or data integration.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to detect trends, anomalies, and correlations, and translate them into practical recommendations.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging technical expertise to influence sales outcomes and customer decisions.
