Requirements
- US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 7+ years of experience in server architecture, systems engineering, or solution architecture roles
- Deep understanding of server hardware design and performance characteristics, including: CPU architectures (Intel/AMD/ARM), cores, threading, and NUMA
- Memory architectures (DDR4/DDR5, ECC, bandwidth considerations)
- Storage systems (NVMe, SATA, RAID configurations, storage tiering)
- PCIe lanes, expansion, and accelerator integration (GPU, FPGA, SmartNICs)
- Experience with Linux-based systems administration and performance tuning
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and hardware (NICs, RDMA, switching, edge networking)
- Experience with virtualization and container platforms (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in field environments and manage multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Background in cybersecurity, including system hardening, secure architectures, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Zero Trust)
- Experience with ruggedized, tactical, or mobile compute platforms
- Familiarity with edge AI/ML workloads and GPU acceleration
- Experience with out-of-band management (IPMI, Redfish) and remote system management
- Knowledge of power and thermal design considerations in compact systems
- Experience supporting government, defense, or classified environments
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CISSP, Security+, VMware VCP, or similar)
