NVIDIA is hiring a Solution Architect – Drug Discovery

About the Role

The role involves collaborating with research teams and engineers to develop scalable architectures that integrate AI, high-performance computing, and domain-specific applications in drug discovery. The individual will translate complex biological problems into technical solutions using accelerated computing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scalable software architectures tailored for computational biology workflows
  • Collaborate with data scientists and domain experts to integrate AI models into drug development pipelines
  • Evaluate and optimize performance of scientific computing applications on GPU-accelerated platforms
  • Translate life sciences research requirements into technical system designs
  • Support integration of molecular simulation, genomics, and imaging tools with AI frameworks
  • Provide technical guidance during proof-of-concept and production deployment phases
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to align architecture with scientific objectives
  • Document system designs, workflows, and implementation strategies
  • Identify bottlenecks in computational pipelines and recommend improvements
  • Advocate for best practices in software engineering and high-performance computing
  • Assist in benchmarking and validating new algorithms on accelerated infrastructure
  • Present technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay current with advancements in computational drug discovery and AI methods
  • Contribute to open-source or research collaborations when applicable
  • Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and reproducibility standards
  • Work closely with product teams to influence roadmap based on scientific use cases
  • Support customer-facing initiatives with technical depth and clarity
  • Troubleshoot system-level issues in complex software environments
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer across teams and geographies
  • Promote adoption of accelerated computing in pharmaceutical research settings

Nice to Have

  • PhD in a life sciences or computational field with technical focus
  • Direct experience in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D settings
  • Prior work on molecular dynamics, structure-based drug design, or genomics analysis
  • Involvement in open-source scientific software projects
  • Publications or contributions to computational biology methods
