Maxima Consulting is hiring a Solar Electrical Engineer to provide technical design and drafting support for solar projects. In this designer role, you will support an assigned group of engineers and technicians, leveraging your CAD expertise to develop project plans and contribute to process improvements. What You'll Do

Design and develop plans for solar projects by drawing accurate models on a given software platform.
Apply knowledge of solar designs and utilize CAD modeling and Microsoft Excel tools to design solar plant layouts, collection systems, and supporting details while providing technical guidance.
Work with other technicians to organize existing and develop new CAD processes and standards to be used across the solar department.
Help train technicians and engineers on solar standards and CAD processes.

What We're Looking For

A two-year technical degree in Technical Drafting or equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with CAD software programs such as AutoCAD and Civil3D.
Extensive understanding of AutoCAD design features including blocks, layers, tables, visibility states, viewports, sheet set manager, LISP routines, etc.
Detailed drafting experience with solar layouts, equipment details, grounding design, one-line diagrams, collection systems, and interconnection wiring schematics using AutoCAD.
Excellent English proficiency – verbal and written communication skills.
Experience collaborating with US-based engineers, project managers, fellow drafters, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Must be comfortable communicating and collaborating with colleagues in a remote team environment.
Ability to learn and successfully apply company, client, and projects standards and procedures.
Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).
Good organization and time-management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Must be able to work independently and take ownership of individual projects and tasks.
